On 1st of July 2011 the Tropical Event World "Gondwanaland" was opened in the Leipzig Zoo. Gondwanaland is Europe’s species-richest tropical environment with 40 partly rare and endangered animal species, 500 different plant species and more than 17,000 different specimens. An exclusive conference and event area for 60 to 300 persons can be booked from November 2011 for unique occasions. Discover the possibilities and submerge in an unforgettable rainforest experience in the midst of Leipzig. Great panoramic windows offer a unique view onto the tropical experience world Gondwanaland and invite you and your guests to a trip in the rainforest or a boat trip on the bush river “Gamanil”.
Two sound insulated function rooms, each with150 m², separated with a mobile partition wall, can be used alone or in combination and offer modern technical equipment, which can be set to your individual requirements. In the evening after the zoo has been closed, the rooms are extensible with the Marché Restaurant Patakan so that an exclusive evening event with 60 up to 400 guests is possible. A wide range of culinary variety can be offered by the gastronomic partner Marchè.
